Safe and Trusted Canada allows the business to place all their social media links into their profile. This is available to all subscription levels. 

The business simply inserts the link to their social media account or blog.  

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram are the main social media sites.   We may add or delete others in the future.  

 

Premium accounts can add images, PDF’s and Youtube videos.  Please note that images may have to be resized in order to be added. 

A standard account can add 5 images, 1 PDF and one video. 
An Advanced account can add 10 images, 5 PDF’s and 5 videos.
A Professional account can add up to 20 images, 10 PDF’s and 10 videos. 

Images, PDF’s and Videos increase your presentation options.

Welcome to Safe and Trusted Canada.  This is a video tutorial about managing your profile on the Safe and Trusted Site.   

If you have an information-only profile, you are not able to manage your account.   You need to apply for account access.  If your business has been granted account access, you will receive an email notification that your account is active. Your username is your email address.  For security reasons, we do not send passwords through email or by phone.   You must reset your password.  

Select the click here link to reset your password.   The Site will send a special code to your email address.  Check your spam folder if you do not receive it.  Use the code to reset your password.  Remember that the owner of the business is responsible for all content entered into their profile.  Choose who can access your business account, and remember to change your password often. 

Safe and Trusted Canada developed a system for displaying restaurants.   As the Site intends to present truthful and transparent information to consumers here is how it works. 

The Site can list any restaurant as an Information Only profile. The Information Only profile may be removed or modified at any time if the business is no longer in operation.   See our application.  Grow your Business Faster

The Site develops the profile with information already present on the internet.  This includes links to the restaurant as well as review links and social media links. Safe and Trusted Canada places more categories into the profile as well as trade areas.  Some restaurants may be in up to 50 trade areas so that the consumer can choose an area rather than a specific location.   This also gives smaller trade areas equal opportunity to attract guests from major population areas.  See the following video example. 

 

Safe and Trusted Canada may complete a composite review about the restaurant based on all the review sites.  Our composite reviews generally show that most review sites are generally close to each other in terms of the overall rating of the accommodation.  The composite review is instrumental in the positioning of the restaurant as it becomes the credibility score of the restaurant. 

Your restaurant may not have a credibility score in place as there is insufficient information or our staff have missed this for your business.   Please send us an email so that we can handle this promptly for your business.  Credibility scores determine placement in the Safe and Trusted database and those without a score are seen last in our database.  The consumer will still be able to see links to multiple review sites for the property. 

Our content management system allows the business owner to change the content at any time through their account.  If we receive approval from the business owner, then we transfer appropriate data from your website into our system.  This saves the business owner time, money and most of all gives it an instant presentation.  All that is needed is an email from the actual business owner or the assigned marketing representative by the owner. 

 

The restaurant may apply for a Basic Subscription.  If it does then the accommodation can display key elements about their business including their logo, what makes them different, who their ideal client is and much more.   The Basic Subscription is at no cost.  This will move the accommodation ahead of all other Information Only profiles.  The accommodation is displayed according to their credibility score.  See the Basic Subscription. 

The restaurant may apply for the Plus Subscription.  If it does then the restaurant can display everything that is included in the Basic Subscription. The Plus Subscription is at $99.00 Canada-wide.  The restaurant has the ability to remove any review sites in its profile with the exception of Google and Better Business Bureau.   This will move the restaurant ahead of all other Information Only profiles and Basic Subscriptions.  The restaurant is displayed according to its credibility score.  See the Plus Subscription.  

The restaurant may apply for the Standard Subscription.  If it does then the restaurant can display everything that is included in the Basic Subscription and Plus Subscription for $199.00 Canada-wide. Provinces with less than 1.5 million people receive a $25.00 discount.  Please note that GST is added to all prices.   The restaurant now is able to add a PDF to its profile as well as a YouTube video as well as 5 images provided they are optimized for internet display.    This will move the restaurant ahead of all other Information Only profiles and Basic and Plus Subscriptions.  The restaurant is displayed according to its credibility score.  See the Standard Subscription. 

The restaurant may apply for the Advanced  Subscription.  If it does then the restaurant can display everything that is included in the Basic, Plus and Standard  Subscriptions for $399.00 Canada-wide. Links to the business website, their review sites and social media is standard at all levels of subscription types on Safe and Trusted Canada.  The links automatically redirect to the proper review site or social media profile. 

Safe and Trusted Canada allows other links to occur that may point to certain parts of your business website for all our paid subscriptions.  Place the content and then a link to the content into your profile.  The content and the link will both show up and the user can determine if they wish to go place the link into their browser.  The link will not automatically shorten unless the subscription is a Professional Subscription.   All Professional Subscriptions receive more assistance in the management of their profile. 

Safe and Trusted Canada provides ongoing services to every business with paid subscription status.    We recommend that you use this service and get your subscription correct by having us do your listing for you at no cost. 

This includes links to your affiliations or key parts of your website.  

Safe and Trusted Canada recommends that linking be used sparingly if at all.  

As far as linking to certain parts of your website we want to remind businesses that words can be indexed whereas links cannot.  Links change if your website changes and then this will also ruin your presentation.  Links to an unauthorized website could cancel your subscription immediately and as a Site, we do not wish to see that happen.  Mistakes can occur especially if your representative is unsure of what they are doing.  

If you as a business owner place links into your profile, and they are incorrect or point to questionable links then you are fully accountable for your content.  This could also result in legal action against your business and as a result, would recommend that you use our free services and get it done right.  Simply send us an email at admin@safeandtrusted.com

Every business on the Site with account privileges is expected to list their business credentials correctly. 

They must be accurate, and the business guarantees they are when they sign up for an account as they have read our disclaimers.

If a credential they post is not valid and is challenged by a consumer or us, then we flag the business and freeze the account.

Site Admin will place an Alert on that business profile which may remain permanently on our Site. There is no tolerance business profile for listing credentials like licensing, legal status etc. incorrectly.

What is the credential score of the business? 

Businesses must follow up yearly to ensure that what was placed on initial entry to the Site is still valid.
