What is an Information Only Profile?

Safe and Trusted Canada (The Site) provides information to consumers about businesses through an Information Only profile.

Businesses applying for all subscription types have to be approved by Safe and Trusted Canada, considering years in business and their overall business record.   See other Subscription Types.

Information Only profiles produce a business profile based on what consumers would readily find about the company on the internet.  Account-holders can manage their complete profile.

See how to manage your business profile.

It may include contact data for the company and links to social media and review sites containing the business profile if available.

Safe and Trusted Canada, “The Site” now allows reviews from consumers.  Information Only profiles do not have the ability to respond or post reviews because they have account status.  This will give the consumer information that may not be available unless the business takes out an account.

Users have the responsibility to view all the links, ratings, and reviews. The review sites can be positive or negative.   See the Better Business Links if they are available.  The links can change at any time.  The business as an Information Only profile is as it is highlighted ” Information Only.”

Information Only profiles can ask for archival of their listing if they are no longer in business.  If Google and Better Business Business Bureau have the business as closed, we will also archive and remove it.  They can also ask for removal as they own their business information.  Safe and Trusted Canada is a neutral site.

As a business,  if your Information Only Profile needs updating, the company can contact The Site.  There is no obligation for you to apply for an account, but suggest this as an option to grow your business further at no cost.  If you are out of business, please advise so that the site admin can archive your profile.

  • Information Only Profiles are as advertised to the public on the internet.
  • As a matter of policy, the Site does not recommend, accredit, suggest, promote, or validate any business. Consumers do that through reviews.
  • The Site provides public links to review sites that permit us to publish those links.
  • The Site provides private links to all other trademarked review sites about the business directly only through their account access.
  • Subscription types give business owners different advertising options, but the Site does not suggest that credibility determines the subscription level.
  • Users can use the Credentials Search’s advanced features to determine the degree of reliability for each business.
  • It is the responsibility of the user to check the credentials advertised by the business.
  • Notify Site Admin immediately where the business is advertising credentials they do not have, or information is not current.
  • The company and the consumer entirely determine transactions with each other.
  • Safe and Trusted Canada does not mediate complaints, issues, or concerns.
  • Seek legal advice for complex transactions.
  • Protect your interests as the removal of the business may occur at any time.

What is Reputation Management ?

The reputation of a business is both what they say about themselves and what others say about them. Managing reputation is nothing new; what’s new is how the internet and social media have changed the way businesses are being defined and how fast their reputations spread.
Improve visibility in local search.  Identify the business listings that are inaccurate or missing from essential directories like Google, Facebook and Bing.
Capture the voice of your customers.  Generate reviews on the sites that consumers rely on to make their buying decisions.  Showcase exceptional customer service.  Monitor customer reviews from dozens of major and vertical-specific review sites.  Stay on top of online word of mouth.  See when the business is mentioned in the news, blogs, Twitter, Instagram and more.  Always be on the ball.  Get automated alerts when new information is found, and receive weekly reports that highlight recent activity in every aspect of the business’s reputation.
Why is online review monitoring important?
With over 33 million local reviews on Yelp alone, it’s clear that customers are sharing their opinions online. Seventy-two percent of consumers say they trust online reviews as much as personal referrals, so whether it’s a testimonial, a detailed article on someone’s blog, or an offhand comment on Twitter, people are now chatting 24/7—and local business owners need to be paying attention.
Why is review generation important?
Local search is driven by online reviews, and so is revenue. On average, customer ratings are proven to increase sales by 18%, and 90% of people claim positive reviews influence their purchasing decisions. Smart business owners are getting serious about soliciting feedback, but generating reviews is hard work. It’s a hassle reaching out to customers, not to mention directing them to review sites, tracking conversations and sharing recommendations on social media. Business owners need a solution that does the heavy lifting for them.
In addition to the Reputation Management function, we provide Review Generation Widget called Customer Voice.  See the Brochure. Customer Voice
Manage your reviews on your own platform or use third-party platforms and follow the rules of those platforms.

Take control of your business today for only $49.00 per month plus applicable taxes.  Specialty widgets are $15.00 monthly.

How to Manage Categories

The content management system has many tabs that will impact your business profile.

The second one is the Categories Tab.

The first thing to remind you is that the number of business subcategories categories is determined by your subscription type.

The second thing to remind you is that a business should select the primary category first and then the first subcategory in that primary to be properly indexed on our Site.

Our system allows the following.

Basic Subscription  – 5 subcategories
Plus Subscription – 20 subcategories
Standard Subscription – 30 subcategories
Advanced Subscription – 40  subcategories
Professional Subscription – 60 subcategories.

All categories are in alphabetical order.  The exception being the Jobs and Promotions categories which are positioned at the top of every trade area.
