  • Easily List Your Restaurant Today

As a business owner, you can list your restaurant at no charge with a free basic subscription.  You can also apply for other subscription types to augment your business display on Safe and Trusted Canada.

We don’t take everyone.  Credibility Questions and Links

Here are the current primary categories. Remember, each primary category opens up to many subcategories.  Accommodation and Restaurant Categories

Safe and Trusted Canada lists food and restaurants differently than anyone else.   We want the consumer to be able to choose a restaurant from an area rather than just a specific city or town.  In this way, travellers have more options to choose from and get their best deal.

They also have the option to see what is available in a section of a province all in one click so that they can see the highest-rated restaurant, depending on the subscription type of the business. The consumer can also search for specific amenities they want and even see the review sites for their best deal.

Consumers search for restaurants just like any other business type.  They search for a business name, city, province or phone number. Our system allows the consumer to search only with the last four digits of a phone number.

The Site automatically reduces the subscription to an Information Only profile should the subscription be cancelled.  The company may also be archived.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE PLACE THE FOLLOWING CONTENT INTO EVERY PROFILE

      • Information Only Profiles are as advertised to the public on the internet.
      • As a matter of policy, the Site does not recommend, accredit, suggest, promote, or validate any business. Consumers do that through reviews.
      • The Site provides public links to review sites that permit us to publish those links.
      • The Site provides private links to all other trademarked review sites about the business directly only through their account access.
      • Subscription types give business owners different advertising options, but the Site does not suggest that credibility determines the subscription level.
      • Users can use the Credentials Search’s advanced features to determine the degree of reliability for each business.
      • It is the responsibility of the user to check the credentials advertised by the business.
      • Notify Site Admin immediately where the business is advertising credentials they do not have, or information is not current.

  • Content Management – Embed And Connect Your Website

Each business with an account has access to the content management system.  There are five subscription options for the business account holder.

They are the Basic, Plus, Standard, Advanced and Professional options.  Each option gives the account more marketing possibilities.

Each account holder can manage several businesses through one account.

Safe and Trusted Canada uses a content management system for business account holders.  There are 13 different tabs available to the business account holder, and depending on the subscription level of the business, determine what tabs are available to the business.

The 12th tab,  Embed, lists the code for your business.  This tab is available to all account types. Open the tab, copy the code, and link your Safe and Trusted profile to your website.  This is the easiest way to connect with your website, Safe and Trusted profile, and logo.

Some of the discounts offered in some subscriptions require linking your website to your Safe and Trusted Canada profile.   See the video.

  • Content Management – Adding Credentials

Each business with an account status has access to the content management system.

There are five subscription options for the business account holder.

They are the Basic, Plus, Standard, Advanced and Professional options.

Each option gives the account more possibilities and marketing options. Each account holder can manage multiple businesses under a single account.

Safe and Trusted Canada uses a content management system for business account holders. There are 13 tabs available to the business account holder, and the tabs available depend on the business’s subscription level.

The fourth tab, Credentials, is available to all subscription types. This video explains how a business owner can add content to this tab.   See the video.

Credentials are the account holder’s trusted factors for every business. Contractor credentials apply only if the business is a contractor. The only responsibility of the account holder is to list credentials accurately. Do not list credentials that you do not have. Doing so may place your business with an Alert if the business owner cannot substantiate the credentials listed.  We have introduced tooltips to make it easier for everyone to understand what the credential means so that there are no misunderstandings.

Consumers are looking for a business’s credentials.  They don’t want to deal with a contractor who isn’t registered, doesn’t have liability insurance, or doesn’t have workers’ compensation.  Contractors want to show credentials as they know some contractor types are prone to problems and hurt the whole industry.  If you do not list credentials, you can’t have an account.

Required Licensing for a trade area is currently in place means that the business meets city or town licensing.

The legal requirements for our trade area and category mean the business meets provincial requirements.

The business’s advertised name is legally registered, which means that the company has conducted a name search, legally registered the name federally or provincially and has an entity number issued.   Remember, do not indicate your business is legally registered if you are uncertain.

Some businesses that are part of a chain or other franchise may not be able to be legally registered as the parent company objects to the process. Some businesses have legal permission to use a particular name but cannot get permission to register that name legally.

Some provinces have standards concerning registering your business but considering all the businesses not legally registered; enforcement appears not to exist. Some cities appear to give city licensing to a business where the business can have any name they want on the city license. Some businesses think they are registered because they went through a lawyer, but the name on the registration is different than the name they use for their business name.

Years in business mean precisely that. It is not a combination of years of experience of the staff.

Contractor credentials should be easy to understand. One area refers to supplier references. When a contractor doesn’t pay the supplier, in some cases, the supplier has placed a lien on the property, even if the property owner has paid the contractor. This credential means that the contractor provides the name of the suppliers so that the consumer can check those references.

As a business owner, place all the credentials that apply to your business and do not tick off any that you do not have. If you have extra credentials later, you can always add them.

Placing credentials in your profile that you do not have violates our Site Policy. If discovered and confirmed, it may result in an alert on the business for one year. The business loses its subscription, and there will be no refunds.

Consumers can search the business’s credentials and determine their business selection based on credentials even before they call.    Consumers can use credentials in selecting a business through the request equote.

Every business profile advises consumers that Safe and Trusted Canada does not accredit, validate or endorse any business and that they should check the business’s credentials before using it.

It is advisable for contractors to have a binder that includes everything about their business and why consumers should select them. Proof of credentials is an essential asset in your presentation.

  • Are You Hiring Staff?

All Subscriptions can indicate they are hiring staff by using the Now Hiring Field in the Basic Info Tab. They can add this feature through their content management area.

The only step is to add text to your business profile under Now Hiring.

The business can add a PDF with more information if it has a premium subscription.  They can also add a video or provide a direct link to their website about the available opportunity if they have a Professional Subscription.

Be sure to cancel the text in your profile if the job opportunity is no longer available.

The Site automatically reduces the subscription to an Information Only profile should the subscription be cancelled. The company may also be archived.

  • Content Management – Managing Reviews of Your Business.

The thirteenth tab, named Reviews, is available to all subscription types.

A customer of your business can leave a review about your business.     The business gets an email about the review and can then manage it in its content management system.

The business account holder determines what to do with the review.  If the person doing the review is not a customer, then the business owner can ask for the deletion of the review.  The person can always use other review sites to leave a review about the business.

If the person doing the review is an actual customer, the business owner can respond to the review and post the review.  The account holder can also talk with their customer and look for an immediate resolution of the issue if the review is negative.  If the review is negative and the business does not respond, the review is stored and is part of the aggregate score for the business.  The content of the review is not made public.   A person can always use other review sites to leave a review about the business.

If the review is positive but has been completed by someone actually from the business or connected with the business, then the account holder can delete the review.   The site prohibits reviews from those connected with the business, which violates our site policy and can cause an alert and cancellation of the business account.

If the business is an Information Only profile and there is no account holder for the business, then no reviews are posted, good or bad, by Safe and Trusted Canada.  The review will still have an aggregate score,   The business can respond to reviews as soon as they apply for a Basic Subscription which is free of charge.

  • Content Management – Handle Equotes

Each business with an account has access to the content management system.  There are five subscription options for the business account holder.

They are the Basic, Plus, Standard, Advanced and Professional options.  Each option gives the account more marketing possibilities.

Each account holder can manage several businesses through one account.

Safe and Trusted Canada uses a content management system for business account holders.  There are 13 different tabs available to the business account holder, and depending on the subscription level of the business, determine what tabs are available to the business.

The eleventh tab, eQuotes, is available only to premium subscriptions.

A consumer can ask for quotes from businesses.  Of course, this is a lead for the business.   This is the process.

The consumer chooses the city or town and then the category and subcategory.

A list of businesses displays for the consumer.  The consumer can then define the options further by searching for credentials.   Once they have determined the credentials they are looking for, their display changes to the list of businesses that have the credentials they are looking for as a consumer.

Once they have the list, they can then select request quote.  This allows the consumer to fill out their name and phone number and place content into the appropriate fields.

The consumer can select up to 10 businesses at one time.

The consumer can submit the data to Safe and Trusted Canada.

The data is sent to Safe and Trusted Admin, who will check to see if this is a legitimate request.

If the request is legitimate, an email is sent to the various businesses with a premium account who have agreed in their Basic Info to accept Equote requests.

The business will receive the email, and the equote request is stored in its content management system.

  • Content Management – Select Subscription

Each business with an account has access to the content management system.  There are five subscription options for the business account holder.

They are the Basic, Plus, Standard, Advanced and Professional options.  Each option gives the account more marketing possibilities.

Each account holder can manage several businesses through one account.

Safe and Trusted Canada uses a content management system for business account holders.  There are 13 different tabs available to the business account holder, and depending on the subscription level of the business, determine what tabs are available to the business.

The 1oth tab, Subscription, is available to all account holders.  This tab identifies the current subscription for your business.   If you wish to upgrade your subscription level, contact us by email at office@safeandtrusted.com or by phone at 1-306-979-6490.

When you click on the tab, you will see your subscription level, start date, and end date.  The subscription price in the tab is constant, but your price may differ as each subscription level has discounts and promotions.  For example, in this case, a Professional Subscription in Saskatchewan is just 399.00 per year.  Of course, there is GST to the total amount.  We know who gets that, right?

  • Content Management – Add YouTube Videos

Each business with an account has access to the content management system.  There are five subscription options for the business account holder.

They are the Basic, Plus, Standard, Advanced and Professional options.  Each option gives the account more marketing possibilities.

Each account holder can manage several businesses through one account.

Safe and Trusted Canada uses a content management system for business account holders.  There are 13 different tabs available to the business account holder, and depending on the subscription level of the business, determine what tabs are available to the business.

The ninth tab is videos and is available to premium subscriptions only.   This video explains how a business owner can add content to this tab.

The premium subscriptions are the Standard, Advanced, and Professional Subscriptions.   The Standard subscription allows up to 1 YouTube Video, the Advanced subscription allows up to 5  YouTube Videos, and the Professional Subscription allows up to 10 YouTube Videos.

All that occurs is you go to your YouTube Channel and select the video.  When you choose the video, the link to that video will display in your browser.  Copy and Paste the link to your video into the appropriate place in your video management system.  It is that easy.

You may also sell products from a supplier that has a YouTube channel.  If the supplier allows you as a dealer or contractor to showcase what you sell or provide, video can jumpstart your presentation.

The Professional subscription allows direct linking, so if you already have the information on your website, then link it to the area of your website rather than placing a Video in your Safe and Trusted account.

This is a valuable addition to your overall profile.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  If that is correct, what is a video worth?   This is your marketing platform for your business.  It is affordable and easy to use.  Why not add as much as possible for the consumer?

A Professional Subscription in smaller marketing areas can be as low as 399.00 per year.  Your competitor has the same options.

  • Content Management- Add PDFs

Each business with an account has access to the content management system.  There are five subscription options for the business account holder.

They are the Basic, Plus, Standard, Advanced and Professional options.  Each option gives the account more possibilities and marketing options.

Each account holder can manage several businesses through one account.

Safe and Trusted Canada uses a content management system for business account holders.  There are 13 different tabs available to the business account holder, and depending on the subscription level of the business, determine what tabs are available to the business.

The eighth tab, PDFs, is available only to premium subscriptions.   This video explains how a business owner can add content to this tab.   See the video.

The premium subscriptions are the Standard, Advanced, and Professional Subscriptions.   The Standard subscription allows up to 1 PDF, the Advanced subscription allows up to 5 PDFS, and the Professional Subscription allows up to 10 PDFs.

The Professional subscription allows direct linking, so if you already have the information on your website, then link it to the area of your website rather than placing a PDF in your Safe and Trusted account.

If you are adding PDFs, they are great when you want to tell more about your business.  They are great when coupled now hiring areas because they can give the prospective new hire an application form to fill out or much more information about the job that is posted by the business.

If you have a discount or promotion, you might want to attach a PDF to give the consumer more information about the promotion or even the ability to print it off on their printer.

A contractor may want to add some of the presentation materials that they give prospective customers in the form of a PDF.  This is a great way to give information to a potential client.
